Six Months Old!

Marli is six months old today. Time has gone by so fast, and I am so lucky that I get to stay home with her everyday. I really feel like we have become best buddies and I love it. To celebrate her "half birthday" I decided to make a top ten list of Marli's favorites, so enjoy!

Marli's Top Ten Favorite Things
1. The boy on her Huggies lotion - For some reason Marli is obsessed with this picture. She is always looking and reaching for him. We've tried other pictures, but she only likes "Mr. Huggies" as Reno likes to call him.
2. Standing on her dad's hand
3. Keeping her mom busy
4. Going to the pool
5. Noah's jumper (Yes, she has conquered her fear and now loves it!)
6. Eating rice cereal
7. Hanging out with her dad
8. Helping mom with laundry
9. Making funny faces
10. Sucking on her toes!

Noah has a fun Jumperoo toy that I thought Marli would love. Boy was I wrong! When I tried to put her in it she squealed like the true girly girl that she is - She was terrified of it! This probably isn't the nicest thing I've done as a mom, but it was so funny that we had to try it again so that we could get it on film (the squeals have calmed down since the first time she tried it).

Night Owls?

Marli and Noah have had some late nights trying to wait up for their dads to get home from work. But as you can see they are exhausted and usually fall fast asleep before Reno and Troy get home.

FINALLY Together Again!!!

It was a long 5 weeks, but we survived (barely). Reno moved to Texas to sell, but Marli and I had to stay back so I could finish teaching. We are finally all together and vowed we will never be apart for that long again.

You would have thought Reno had starved those 5 weeks he was here alone. When I opened his fridge, this is what I found. It pretty much consisted of string cheese, jam, a can of fruit, milk and A1 sauce. Luckily, Ashley and Jodi took good care of Reno and had him over for dinner almost every night so that he didn't starve. Thanks girls!

Its All Over!

The school year is finally over and even though I was counting down the days for it to come, it was actually a bittersweet feeling. I am so excited to be able to stay home with Marli and be a stay at home mom, but when I started taking down things in my classroom it hit me that I won't be teaching anymore and I got really sad. I won't miss the crying, tattling, nose picking first-graders, but I will miss their funny stories and the look in their eyes when they learn a new word, or how to add 10+10. I will also miss all the girls I worked with and the fun memories we had.

I took Marli to the pool on Saturday with some of my friends. Marli loved her first trip to the pool and I was long overdue for a nice tanning session. Well, we didn't get much laying out done, but Marli loved the pool and looked so dang cute in her swimsuit. Just a little FYI for Jamie and Melissa...you could've borrowed Marli's SPF 45, it may have helped prevent those scarlet red legs you were sportin at church today!

I always put Reno on speaker-phone when I talked to him so that Marli can hear his voice. She always gets so excited and reaches for the phone. She loves talking to her dad on the phone and giving him "kisses"
